About the Artist

Hi, my name is Lino and I'm a 19-year-old artist born in California, and currently living in Switzerland. I've been fascinated by different kinds of art for as long as I can remember, spending hours looking at comics before I could even read, building detailed Lego structures, and of course, filling sketchbooks with doodles. However, as much as I loved consuming and creating art, I never considered it my main passion until late 2019 when I became obsessed with art YouTubers such as Vexx, ZHC, and Gawx. Not only did they inspire me to take my art more seriously but they were the main reason why I created an Instagram account dedicated to my work.
In the beginning stages, my art was very much imitating the style of others until I began listening to music more passionately which motivated me to start drawing my favorite musical artists at the time such as $NOT and Juice WRLD. I fell in love with doing so because I could creatively implement the musician's visual discographies and aesthetics into original concepts. Most of my art since then revolves around the music I listen to with some exceptions breaking away from music.
the drawing has become a staple point of my art. My goal with this is to grant feelings of nostalgia and playfulness to viewers. Another defining aspect of my style is the medium. All my art is made on paper with markers leading to irreplicable textures and rendering. I plan to stick with this medium because I love having a physical product when I finish a project and I also observe a vast oversaturation of digital art in the scene I find myself in.
My artistic style today is not only defined by the way I draw characters but mainly by the highly detailed concepts such as rooms, movie posters, or comic grids. Including tons of easter eggs based on the specific theme of the drawing has become a staple point of my art. My goal with this is to grant feelings of nostalgia and playfulness to viewers.
